The Shamu Slam!

Ethan playing in the toddler play area of Sea World. He had such fun. He and another little girl made a line of blocks.
Austin is now sitting all by himself for hours. Such a big boy! Ethan loves his brother and when a litle girl tried to take Austin's block he went right up to her and told her that was Austin's and she had to give it back. So she did. What a good big brother.
Do you see a resemblence to the picture below? Hint: check out the necks.
I thought it was a Pack chin?
No one is cuter then this sweet boy.
Trying to see the show instead of taking a much needed nap.
There is no one cuter or more full of personality then Ethan.
Ethan stared at this cat forever. He loved its size.
Watch those fingers Ethan, you may not be so lucky again. (for those of you who don't know the story look back to the 2007 post 'a whole new meaning to horsie bite")
Ethan couldn't stop making horse sounds. He is so funny.
Austin was so tired he just popped his thumb in his mouth and went to sleep.
And slept for a very longtime.
Ethan ws terrified of the bat rays. He didn't want to touch them at all.
Sorry I posted some pictures twice. In my defense I am feeding Austin and trying to keep Ethan off my lap.

Cheese!
That is a ton of nemo fish.
Ethan loves Nemo and tried to pick them all up.
Ethan and real nemo fish.
Cheese!
Crush swimming the EAC.
Ethan was so soft with the star fish that the trainer let him hold them, pick them up and walk around with them which was totally agaoinst all the signs in the area.

Ethan is such an animal lover.
Austin's new favorite place to be, it's close to mom and he can see out!
So after one of the shamu shows we went to watch the whales in the back of the stage. We see this whale spit his fish from the show out and up high in the air. A unsuspecting seagull saw the fish and caught it, not realizing the fish was bait. The whale jumped up and caught the seagull and dragged it under water. Then the two whales played with it until it had drowned and then piece by piece tore it up and ate it. The trainers said this heppens a couple times a day. I am pretty sure it is just "fishing" for sport because whales at seaworld are probably the best feed whales in the world.
A great picture of the whale "playing".
Ethan and Nemo watching Shamu Slam.
Austin saw the treats in grandma's bag and grabbed them right out. Trying so hard to eat the treats.
Ethan loves penguines.
When we went in the summer the exhibit was dark and it ws hard to see. This time it was light and fun to see all the penguines.
Mommy taught Ethan last June when we went with Grandma Gigi, Grandma Kathy and Daryl to Niagra Falls that sharks say "the theme to jaws" you know (nana nana nananananana). So he sings it whenever we see sharks. Everyone around us was laughing so hard.
Playing shark swords with Chandra.
That is one big catfish.
Ethan and Austin were both amazed at the sharks swimming overhead.
How mommy spent much of he time on vacation, holding both boys. Turns out I have raised mama's boys.
Chandra trying to keep a sleeping austin dry during the Shamu slam.
Have you ever seen a cuter baby?
If I have to be an animal in another life I choose to be one at Sea World!
The walrus was swimming and Ethan was so excited.
GRRRRR.
Austin could see them and we watched them swim forever. It was awsome!
Polar bears wow.
Ethan and Hammy. He loves farm animals.
So cute. He is very independent and all grown up.
I got the umbrella lets go!
At the pet show.
Ethan loves all animal so this trip was a big hit.
Making some shade because it was too hot! I love San Diego!!
I can get that.
Do you think I could get that all in my mouth? I should probably try.
Did you s ee that? I loved the dog and cat show!
So did Ethan!
Time to eat again? Yum!
Oink, oink. Ethan loved Hammy the pig the best.
Chilling with grandma.
Watching the show. Talk about overstimulation.

Happy sweet boy!
He thinks Nemo hat is funny too.
Almost there.
I got it!

I swear this is all Austin and I did.

The dolphin trying to get the hat.
This dolphin loved the nemo hat too! He followed it all around the glass where Ethan and Chandra would put it.
Waiting for feeding time with the dolphins.
Come here little dolphin.
Chandra helped Ethan touch the Dolphins. He wasn't sure how he felt about them but he tried. By the way he didn't want to touch the bat ryas, they really creeped him out.
Shamu Shamu! Austin loved the whales and he could follow them around the pool. He is super smart.
Everyone love Ethan in his Nemo hat and we caught a lot of people filming and taking pictures of him because he was so funny in it.
I think this picture needs no comments, but there is a reason mom and grandma gained weight on the trip, all we did was drink pop and eat popcorn.

Ethan found a cow statue and was amazed by it. I am not sure what a cow is doing in Sea World, but he loved it.
At the Sea lion show! It was Ethan's favorite show and we watched it every day we were there.
Ethan saw mommy painting her toenails in the car while we waited for Aunt Chandra to get our Sea World tickets and he couldn't stand it until I painted his too!
Chandra and Ethan in the "pig" fish.
Grandma and Austin riding in the Elmo "swordfish" at Sea World. Austin can't walk so they wouldn't let him ride, but he posed for the picture.
Ethan loves his new stroller. He can get in and out as he pleases. He is such a big boy and he stays with his mommy. What a big boy!
Ethan loved the Elmo theme play area at Sea World.
Mom and Ethan looking at the walrus. It was HUGE!
Looking at the Walrus after the sea lion show.
Holding perfectly still.
We thought Austin was asleep on Chandra so grandma peeked in to make sure he was okay and this is what she saw.
Riding Shamu just like in the show!

St. George

Aunt Tara was so sweet and gave Ethan a much needed haircut. Thanks!! He looks so much better.
ARRR!
Such a big boy!
Ethan is such a monkey he can get into, on top of, out of, around or under ANYTHING!
Tara and Ryan took us to this awsome pirate version of Chuck-E-Cheese. It was so cool and Ethan loved it. Th talking skull and parrot fascinated him.
Mommy and Austin getting in on the fun.
Swinging with Grandma. Austin loved it!
Umm can somebody make my swing go again? Please!!!
Higher mommy! Underdog!
On the pirate ship. The cousin had such a good time. The boys were playing on the pirate ship having a good time when 3 big bad 5 year olds came onto the scene. They started teasing Parker and they took his hat. Well Ethan was watching everything and when the kid with Parkers hat came past the seemingly baby Ethan he grabbed his hair and pulled it as hard as he could until the boy took off the hat and left the play area. I am glad Ethan stands up for his cousins.
What do you see through the telescope?
Close in height, not in weight.
Ryan playing with the boys at the park.
We had to bribe the kids to pose for this picture. I am right next to Ryan with Nemo fruit snacks.
Enjoying the sun and warm weather.

Christmas in January

At the Olive Garden in Salt Lake for Amanda's baby shower.
Ethan loved Amanda's co-worker Bart. He was laughing so hard.

Cheese! He loves any attention given to him.
Watching the christmas cheer. CHristmas twice is wonderful.
I am not sure what happened here the pictures were the right way when I uploaded them. Ella, Grandma and Austin.
Addi was all about helping Ethan open his presents. The omly problem with that was he didn't want any help.
It didn't take them long to open everything they just ripped the paper off fast. Then after everything was open they went back and looked at all their presents.
Ethan wasn't very impressed with the clothing, but he needs it so mom was excited.

Gigi and Grandma watching as the kids open presents.
