Because I am a little slow, these pictures are out of order. they have been numbered for your convenience. There are plenty more pictures of our beautiful baby on the way, daily updates shoud be expected for the next few days. We appreciate everyone's prayers and love, and we are excitted to welcome Austin Tyler Pack into our family.

13) Ethan found out there is a room outsime that has crackers, ice cream, and other treats. Now if only he could reach the door handle. He is a clever little guy, luckily that drawer doubles as a stepping stool and a door lock.
14) Austin Tyler Pack. A little swollen, a little crooked, but we already love him with all of our hearts.
15) He is one little happy baby. Finding his hand early will only help.

7) Some skin to skin time with dad. A little gross, but kept him warm.
8) Our new little buddy. what a great little guy. He is so calm and content and usually alert. He loves his family.
9) Ethan was sooooooo excited to come to the hospital and see baby austin. He has had his hospital bag packed as long as mommy has. He has new books and treats for the hospital stay.

2) Antibiotics at 7, along with the oxytocin. Epidural at 11:15, and water broken at 11:45 all was going well. At about 2:35 laura said I think it is time. The nurse checked and said oh yeah, it's time. Pushing through four sets of contractions all was going well when Austin started to have some struggles. His heart rate went from 140 to less than 60, and the doctor said we're not waiting, I need one good push from you laura. They were not gentle, and soon Austin's head was out. His cord was wrapped around his neck twice. They unwrapped him, delivered him the rest of the way, and our little grape was born. In this picture, he is not near as purple as he was. (p.s.) the doctor in the background is a good friend of mine in my medical school class. His name is Peter croft, and we were happy to have a good friend on the medical team. Also in our ward, is the cheif resident, and she made a phone call and we were given the royal treatment.
3) Once he got under the heat lamps, he started to pink up.
4) When I talked to him he rolled over to see me. What a great moment!
5) Hair around the edges, a little flat butt, and no first chin but a good second one. He must be a Pack

6) Looking good for his first bath. When he came out, his nose was Very crooked. big on one side, and flat on the other. We have tried to showcase pictures that were not his ugliest.

1) Mom and dad waiting for Austin to arrive. We came to the hospital for our weekly visit, and laura was praying/doing jumping jacks/drinking coke, hoping for any reason to get induced. Her blood pressure was measuring Very high -- surprse-surprise-- and being that we were far enough along, we were sent to triage for further evaluation. Luckily for Laura, her blood pressure stayed high, there was no protien in her urine, and no other signs of pre-eclampsia, but at 39 and 4 with BP of 155/111 we were admitted.
